My daughter walked again after praying at Lourdes
My daughter Sofia was diagnosed with a rare spinal condition at age 7. Doctors told us she would never walk without assistance. We had tried every treatment available in Mexico City. In 2019, my mother suggested we make a pilgrimage to Lourdes. I was desperate enough to try anything. We arrived in February, and the cold was bitter. Sofia was in her wheelchair, bundled in blankets. When we reached the grotto, something changed in the air. I cannot explain it except to say it felt like being wrapped in warmth despite the freezing temperature. We bathed in the waters. Sofia did not complain about the cold, which was unusual for her. That night at the hotel, she told me her legs felt "tingly, like butterflies." I thought nothing of it. Three days after returning home, Sofia stood up from her wheelchair and took six steps across the kitchen floor. I dropped the plate I was holding and fell to my knees. The doctors have no explanation. Her MRI shows the same condition, but she walks. She runs. She dances. I have the before and after medical records. God works through that water.
