My son's hearing restored after blessing with relic of St. Anthony

My son Daniel was born profoundly deaf in both ears. We are a Catholic family in Manila, and we prayed constantly, but we also accepted that this was God's plan for our boy. He was learning sign language and doing well. When Daniel was four, our parish hosted a relic of St. Anthony of Padua. The priest blessed each person individually. When he touched the relic to Daniel's head, my son screamed. Not in pain, but in shock. He covered his ears and started crying. He could hear. For the first time in his life, the world was loud and overwhelming and terrifying and beautiful. The audiologist confirmed it the next day. Full hearing in both ears. She said she had never seen anything like it in twenty years of practice. Daniel is nine now. He talks nonstop. He loves music. He sings in the children's choir, usually off-key, but nobody minds. Every time I hear his voice, I thank St. Anthony.
